Cell Phones in PV - none of mine are useable

So I just called sprint and out of 5 phones in the family - none can be used in Mexico. (meaning the PHONE doesn't work)....my plan is fine.

I have a few choices:
Rent one here in the states for about 30.00 a week.
Don't bring one at all?
Or is there one easily rentable in Mexico for the week. - either from the airport, or near Villa Del Mar.

I really don't think we will need one, but just in case.

Suggestions?

You can go to one of the Tel-Cel kiosks and buy a brand new phone with 100 minutes of time for about $20.00........

There are several locations in Plaza Caracol kiosk/and store. For one week I am not sure it is worth the hassle, I would use a phone card and the pay phones in front of the resort. Check your PM and I will tell you where the "secret" one is at VDP works great unless you are trying to call work and not let them know you are in Mexico.

We have a cel phone you can "rent" for free if you like. Just put minutes on it and return it when you are done.
We also have a phone with free calls to Canada and the USA here in our restaurant.
