What is the current tipping average for beach service? We like to tip generously to ensure good service but don't want to overdo it.

We do 10% for drinks and 15% to 18% for food. This is on the sand.

That's about what we do too. But sometimes more if the service is really good. We visit with our servers a lot so we feel like we get to know them and then usually tip them more than we normally would. We've found that they actually become friends that we see year after year. Servers and vendors both. My suggestion is, if you can afford to tip a bit more then do it. I'm afraid the vendors and servers are suffering more from the world's depressed economy than we are. Just a thought.
