Quiet beach in March?

Post by Pablo Diablo » Fri Jan 18, 2002 11:52 pm

So I'm all excited about coming to PV for the whole month of March, and last night my friend just rolls his eyes and says "You'll have a terrible time - the beaches are way too crowded." I was there late December a few years ago and thought it was fine. I do prefer a quiet unpopulated beach. I'll be staying in the Old City, but am willing to take a bus. The questions are - where do I go to find a fairly deserted beach - and is it safe for me to go to a deserted beach by myself?

We were at Destiladeras Beach north of Puerto Vallarta by Ranco Banderas in January and it was pretty quiet. The beach was really nice too, powdery sand and the you could walk out quite a ways in the ocean and it did not get too deep. The only thing is, there was a little bit of garbage around, not too much but some. I still think it was a great beach, wish we had discovered at the beginning of our trip instead of on our last day.
