phoning Canada from PV

What is the least expensive way to phone home to Canada when I'm in PV? I've heard horror stories about bills when you get home......

Buy a phone card from any of the tiendas, Six tecate, etc.
I've used the Ladatel cards, which my PV friends suggested, worked great, inexpensive...just use the card and a payphone...not the phone in your room as the hotel charges for the phone usage.

Canada Direct is the cheapest way to call home. You have to go outside the hotel using a payphone, may i suggest u to find a payphone off the 'noise' most of the payphone are on street border.... look for some away from street.

Phoning home to Canada can be a huge nightmare. The payphones in Mexico are "piggybanks". You can grab a phone card from almost any corner store....follow the directions and hope for the best. It seemed that at different times of the day, even the phone cards couldn't get through. You do want to try and find a quiet phone as P.V. is a very busy place.
