Topless Sunbathing on the Beach????

Do they allow topless sunbathing (for the ladies) on the beaches in PV?

legally no... but occassionally you will see some ladies out there sunbathing topless... this is not like on the Caribbean side of the world as in Jamaica, different parts of the Mayan Riviera area... good luck, have fun...

I think it's about time they passed a law making some of these old guys with lots of upper fat (who have more than most women showing) cover up also.
We saw this 60'ish 1/2 bald guy at our resort a few years ago with the usual beer belly, big hairy breasts, and wearing one of those real thongy type bathing suits. (SOB had a different colored one each day). Our teen daughter thought it was the grossest thing she ever saw.

It is illegal to be topless on public beaches in Puerto Vallarta. You may see it at some resorts especially those with a euro-contingency but it is frowned upon and not very polite to local customs to do so on public beaches.

respect Mexican law and the ways of the country that you are in, Mexican people more so older people there frown upon this.

I've seen a couple of women do it on Los Muertos Beach but, I'm not sure they realize (or care) all the 'sniggering' going on behind their backs by the locals or, the frowns from people with kidlets.

Personally, Mexico is a traditional country, the majority of which are of the catholic faith, and I find it disrespectful when tourists expect their behaviours/likes or dislikes to be accepted in a country that is not their own. I'd suggest to anyone that you save your topless sunbathing for your own back yard or, a nudist beach.
