Travel from PV to Nuevo Vallarta (Mayan Palace)

What would be the most efficient way to travel from the Mayan Palace Nuevo Vallarta to the Malecon and not have to spend an arm and a leg?

The most fun and most inexpensive way is to take the bus. They run frequently. Look for the one marked "Centro". It will take you right downtown - it runs parallel to the Malecon about a block up, so you just turn to the right whenever you decide to get off the bus. You can go back the same way - just look for the bus marked "Nuevo Vallarta". I don't think it's more than 10 pesos (about $1 USD). I prefer to take a taxi back to my hotel, cause I usually have too many packages! Look in your hotel lobby for a posting of taxi prices - and don't let them charge you any more than that!
