Parasailing on Los Muertos Beach

Post by PV cheesehead42 » Sat Jun 16, 2007 1:09 am

I was just wondering an approximate price to parasail on Los Muertos beach. I saw somewhere that $30 was an average price. True? Just curious.

Parasail Pick Off

Post by smitty » Sat Jun 16, 2007 3:29 pm

I'm being bad and would never really do this. Fun to think about though . :) Imagine having one of these on the beach in PV and trying to waterbomb the parasailers !

Yep--my daughter and her friend did it last week there and it was $30 each. They loved it!

Hey Paul (Rapidtales).. I think it's about time you posted that picture you took of that nice woman parasailer who stayed up a lot longer than expected a few years ago... Show them what to expect kind of thing. I think she got her money's worth.

Don't forget the other lady that got the ride of her life when a squall came up with such strong winds they could not get her down. If I remember correctly she was up there for close to 2 hrs. and ended up in the hospital with a bad case of wind burn.

Sometimes you just manage to get more than you pay for, whether you want it or not.

About ten years ago a parasail got caught on one of the lightning rods at Vista Del Sol, the chute tore and the rider dropped eight stories.

And then there was the gal who got stuck on the side of I think the San Marino a few years ago, she was luckier and got pulled to safety.

I used to own a parasail, and I just don't think Playa Los Muertos offers enough space if conditions change and get wierd, which they do at times

parasailing
BAH

before they dress you up in that parachute contraption
you have to sign a waiver
that states something like this
we the parasailer operator are not responsible for your or our wrong doing

in other words
you are at your own risk
life or death

even some forty years ago they tried to get my father up at los muertos thru the small surf waiting for the air to lift the chute up
he made it ok but never again

as there usually one operator in the boat just looking ahead
not looking behind to see if you are still there..

this is mexico
have fun

chico
