Things to do with Children

Post by mik_minky » Mon Jul 23, 2007 2:34 am

We are travelling with a 14, 11, 10 and 6 year old in January 2008 and are looking for a few things to do that will satisfy all ages. We've been to PV twice before but without the kids so we know all about the adult things to do, but not kid things.

Thru the forum, we have found quite a few ideas but I'd really like to know which ones are tried and true favorites - absolute "must do's".

Thanks!

Take them down to the Malecon to see the performers. The mime show is always big hit. If you go on Sun night there will be alot of local families down there for the evening.

mik_minky plus4 :)
I know my plus4 would have enjoyed each one of these Puerto Vallarta events..

I believe chico posted that Puerto Vallarts has a Zoo with quite a few animals...(I will search for the post and link)

Take in a Mexican Rodeo at one of the Ranches..

A Day could be spent at the Sea Life water park...

I have heard that the afternoon Pirate ship tour is very suitable for children.. Kids love pirate stuff... :)

Puerto Vallarta has Go Karts... I read that the models are different speeds so that they suit most ages.

If the children can swim ...maybe a go at snorkeling

I know the children would love to see the Sea Turtle Preservation..A little education along with some fun... :)

Children enjoy shopping as much as some adults...
Maybe have them start saving part of their allowance so that they can change it into pesos to be used on a PV shopping trip... :)

Enjoy your vacation... :)

On this site top left hand corner is a heading What To Do...You may be able to find more answers there ...

Just an FYI. The Go Karts have been closed for a few years now.

Also here is the website to the zoo.

The ranches only have rodeos at specific times of the year. They are not happening all the time.

Give it a rest Sylvia! Your sarcastic PM's and comments to me are getting really old. I don't send you PM's or make sarcastic comments to you publically, please give me the same courtesy.

This board I thought was to provide information...if your information is wrong/out of date and someone corrects you don't make a big deal out of it and send sarcastic PM's. Things change constantly in PV, what is here today can be gone tomorrow, and google does not always have the correct/up to date information. :D

Rodeo in Vallarta

Post by droyce » Sat Nov 06, 2010 8:31 pm

Many Rodeo/bull riding events are word of mouth here. January is too far in advance to know when and where. So when you arrive email me roycer1@aol.com and I will try to let you know where they are. My 5 yr. old granddaughter loved the bull riding when she was here and I love it too!!!
