PV Dinner Cruises

Post by gfedor » Thu Feb 07, 2008 6:07 pm

My wife and I will be visiting PV the second week of March 2008. We are looking for a dinner cruise – a quiet one, not a booze cruise. Does anyone know of anything like that? We have looked at the following on-line and they don't seem to be what we are looking for:

- Rhythms of the Night
- Marigalante Dinner Cruise

Seems the booze flows heavily and the music is pumping on both - not quite the romantic evening we are looking for.

We were interested in the Lobster Dinner Cruise Geronimo, but one of the sites says that it is no longer available. Does anyone know if this cruise still running? If so, who would we contact?

Is anyone aware of any other quiet, romantic PV dinner cruises?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Actually, Rhythms of the Night IS a romantic dinner cruise...it has some minor aspects of a sunset booze cruise on the way out to Las Caletas (where you disembark and eat) but on the way back it's soft music and romantic dancing on board.

When you disembark at Las Caletas you are seated water side to eat, and then there is a pre-hispanic "show" afterwards.

Of the two you mention this is the better quality cruise, and better for couples.

We did Rythyms of the Night in December and it really enjoyed it. We thought it was definitely worth the price with the boat trip, dinner and show - would definitely recommend it. A nice start with a sunset cruise to the beach followed by a theatrical arrival at the beach, an excellent buffet dinner served at a beachside candlelit table for two and then the show which was very well done -- ending with a mellow, romantic cruise back to PV. Hint for the show - for some reason, no one was sitting in front so we took a seat in the first row and had a great vieww, both of the stage and some of the actors in as they walk by right in front of you.
