Wow shows you how much I go to the bars....I have stayed at the Vista del Sol for about 10 yrs and have never been there. I know of the Burro's Bar by name but have never really paid attention to the names of other places. Having said that I'm sure I can find it. I am staying at the Villa Premiere this trip so I will take a taxi down to Los Muertos Beach (where do you suggest I get taxi to drop me off?). I assume it is close to Lapalapa Restaurant?

Are you planning on coming to Burro's on the 6th too? It must be so much fun to have so much time and get to meet all the different people from the board as they make it down for their vacations. I'd love to come for the winter sometime.

Zeewot... I am sure the cab driver will know exactly where to drop you off if you say Cyc's. I'm not sure what the proximity is to Lapalapa restaurant but if you are at Burro's bar you would just continue walking towards the pier. I think but am not 100% sure that Cyc's is the last restaurant/bar before the pier. I hope you can make it.

Sandy ... I am indeed joining you on the 6th at Burros and looking forward to meeting you again. It was such a brief meeting last time that we never really got a chance to chat. I feel very fortunate and blessed that I am able to spend such an extended period of time here and meeting people from the board is always fun and interesting.

Ok Joyce...sounds good...should we start a new thread with the March 3rd meet-up? I would love to meet Ellen too (not only cuz she is another fellow Canadian but she has also been very helpful to me on this board). Also would like to meet others from the board wherever they may be from!!

Don't depend on the taxi driver knowing where it is, most of them don't have a clue where it is. Just tell them you want to go to Los Muertos pier. CyC's is the first bar to the right of the pier. I take a taxi from the hotel zone all the time. Tell them Hotel Eloisa for Burros Bar and walk straight down to the beach, most of them don't know where Burro's Bar is either.

Wow Kat, you don't give the cab drivers much credit do you? I have never had a problem with them and I am sure I will find it from the info Joyce gave me....don't concern yourself so much.

I too would not count on the taxi driver's knowing where CyC's is as CyC's is an abbreviation of the name (it's actually called Cuates y Cuetes). We have tried to get a taxi to take us there and they had no idea. Just tell them Los Muertos Pier and once you're there it's not hard to find. If you're standing on the Pier, it's the first restaurant to your left. Here is their website which may have a map:

For not knowing much about PV you sure have an attitude. You are the one who posted you weren't familiar with CyC's. If you wanted it to be worked out between you and Ellen, the send her a private message and no one else will try to assist you.

Don't worry I won't worry about it....have a nice trip. Make sure you get your doctor to write you a RX for some "nice" pills before you go.
