Snorkeling

Post by Fatboy » Fri Mar 20, 2009 5:45 pm

We're heading to PV four weeks from tomorrow....wooooohoooo!!!! :D

I read somewhere that there is pretty good snorkeling right in front of where we're staying, Lindo Mar. I've never snorkeled before, did some scuba stuff in pools, but would like to try the snorkeling while I'm there.

Question: Am I better off to buy equipment here? Or, is there somewhere close by the Lindo Mar to rent gear? Or, is the gear even avaiable for rent?

there are good snorkeling company in PV such as the Los Arcos..

I've never been to PV but I love snorkeling in Grand Cayman..a friend told me that the Mariets Island is a perfect snorkeling site for its rich marine life... it is the sanctuary of dolphins, sea turtles and giant manta rays..

A number of tour operators will take you to the Marietas Islands Marine Resrve. My favorites are Vallarta Adventues and Geronimo. You can book them right here at PV.net. They run about 65USD per person and include very good lunch, open bar and equipment. Have a blast.
