Questions about renting a boat and driver

Post by glenyce » Fri Jan 01, 2010 10:28 pm

Hubby is an avid geo-cacher and has been having a wonderful time caching while we are here in PV. There are a few caches quite some distance away - much easier to get to by boat.
Can you rent a boat and driver? If so any recommendations on who and how to contact them? Any idea what it would cost to go round trip from the marina to Sayulita?
Thanks!

I believe you posted this same question on TA. It is not financially fesible for you to rent a boat in PV to take you all the way to Sayulita. If you take the Sayulita bus you can find a local boat by just walking on the beach and asking in Sayulita. You can also accomplish the same thing in La Penita and Rincon de Guyabitos (all within a relatively close distance to each other). Your only other option would be to hire a boat out of Punta de Mita but it is going to be much less expensive if you rent a boat in the area you want to be in. It is 25 miles from the marina to the mouth of the bay and Sayulita is north from the mouth of the bay in open ocean. Not cost effective at all.
