Hello, we are preparing for another great trip to PVR. This will be the first time we will be there around the Days of the Dead. I know that there are a couple of exhibits of ofrendas. When will they be open, and for how long? I hope not just for the two or three days of the holiday.
Any suggestions about activities at this time? We don't want to be obtrusive or butt in to private ceremonies, but would like to see ofrendas, cemetery displays, etc.
Thanks for your responses.

They usually set them up the day before and take them down the day after Dia de Los Muertos. There are alot set up down along the malecon around the area of the main square.
The cemetary is open for you to walk through, just be aware that entire families go to the cemtearies to celebrate the life of the person passed so you definitely won't be alone.

Thanks, Katnsocal. My husband loves to take pictures, and he has a pretty good digital camera that permits him to take pictures quietly without a flash. Do you think it would be okay to take a few pictures at the cemetery? We would not be asking people to "pose and smile" or anything like that.
We will also be travelling to Guadalajara, and are hoping to got out to Panteon de Belen. Any advice on that?
