Post by Plus4 » Fri Mar 10, 2006 7:28 pm

In Puerto Vallarta are there any museums to visit .
What about Art Galleries.
We enjoy touring museums and Art Galleries... a fun thing to do on a rainy day . Not that PV has A rainy day.
Thanks

I googled my question and found all the answers I needed to know :) and more.
We look forward to taking in the museum and art gallery next PV vacation rain or shine.
I usually come to PV.net through the back door.
Found this going in the front door.
Huichol Museum + +

Once you've finished viewing contemporary Mexican art, you will want to learn more about the famous local Huichol Indian art. For a complete lesson on this distinctive and important part of Puerto Vallarta's history, visit Arte Magico Huichol, which displays the world's largest permanent collection of Huichol beadwork, masks, jewelry and tapestries. In some of the galleries around town, you will also see the work of Jose Benitez, a modern master of the traditional Huichol techniques.

Galleries + +

Puerto Vallarta art galleries show all kinds of Mexican and international art. From avant-garde to indigenous art to fine pottery, each gallery specializes in different genre. If you happen to visit during the Puerto Vallarta art season, from November to April, you'll even be able to attend cocktail parties at the galleries to meet the artists. Vallarta's art community has existed more than 30 years.

New section: Museums and Culture, there is already a list of art galleries.

Some of the options that existed in the past are no longer open, such as the Manuel Lepe Museum, the Burton Taylor house museum and the Set of the Night of the Iguana at Mismaloya.
