Staying at Los Cocos in Rincon any advise?

we booked it last nite, on our way on March 3 only 6 days but this is our first trip to this area. we loved Akumal so we thought this year we would the other side. wife is a little scared does not like new adventures. staying at Los Cocos in Rincon any advise??????

You should realize that you are not going to Puerto Vallarta but to a smaller town located maybe 90 minutes by car north of town. It is a 3-star resort but one I'd like to try - beside a real Mexican beach town, worth walking around and visiting. But it will be very very different from the huge made-only-for-tourist areas you are used to on the other coast. I've heard that right behind (above) the Los Cocos, you can hire horses and have a relatively cheap hour or more ride up in the hills (take your camera). Your hotel also apparently has a good beach club, but you will need take a shuttle bus there -- the beach in front of the hotel is more public and smaller in nature.
