Stayed there a few times, but that was so long ago that my experiences are no longer valid, they are now an AI, weren't at that time. Building a new site for them right now will soon appear on http://www.puntaarena.com current version is the old site, the new one is greenish.

Greetings

Mogens

We stayed at this hotel in Jan 2007. The grounds and hotel rooms were always kept clean. Some of the rooms had a seperate seating area, and some had a balcony. Both were quite spacious. We had to move once because the first room they gave us was quite small and had 2 double beds but they would actually pass for single. It was on the main floor room 16 something . Hopefully that has been changed. The pool is quite small. You have to walk from the resort to the beach down a walkway, If you plan on having drinks at the beach area, they do not serve down there. The bar closed at 10pm exactly, and they only have 2 bartenders on, one close to the beach where the snack restaurant is and one on top. They do have a kids club is you are planning to bring children along. It is definately a quieter resort. It is close to downtown you could walk it in about 15 mins. Hope this helps. Enjoy your trip :D

costa club not to bad

Post by reggaelovemusic » Thu Nov 01, 2007 12:49 am

we were at the costa club in 2006 and 2007 the first time was good but the second time around in jan was not as good.

The rooms are older but vey authentic looking, spanish type with older furniture very hard beds. we had to go and buy a foam from store next door .that helped a bit and left it for the maid. no chain lock or dead bolts just a door handle lock.no elevators if your stuck on 3rd floor. small balcony if your lucky to get one. we didnt get one at first but kept on bugging the front desk and finally gave us one the next day.

Food. breakfast are good ,omelets are made to order fresh. lots of fruits.
lunch and diner were not very good. long buffet lines compared to the first year the buffet the had a middle buffet no lines up.

the bars: one at the snack bar close to beach opens at 10-6 .thye serve hot dogs hamburger and nachos. sometimes chicken wings but careful we had some that were red. not cooked. other bar located at the pool and is open til 10.00 pm and they do close at the time . if your in line to bad. very slow bartenders. not enough of them.
they only have 1 a la carte restaurant , but its very good.

pool 2 not very big. biggest drawback if your like i am and have knee problems theres a ladder to climb into the pool and is very high to get up from the pool.

big unfinshed hotel in the way to see ocean.only a carcass of building. there is also a very very dirty lagoon situated by the hotel. nice thing is there is 5 iguanas that call this home..

over all for the price we got if we could get the same deal we would go but not for much less then we payed.

very clean grounds and very beautiful.. 10 to 15 walk to malecon and we felt very safe walking at night .bus service good also and grocery store next door has everything you need . no need to bring anything for amenities.buy it there safe lugguage space and weight.

hope this helps.

We stayed there in Jan 06. The grounds were kept up nice. The staff was friendly and helpfull and location was great! Bar closed at 10pm which was a bit of downer but liqour stores were close so we were always prepared. I would stay there again. The value was good and we had a fun time!

Been there in January 2006- hotel, staff, beach all OK! There's an ugly unfinished building by the hotel but you can look in an opposite direction and ignore it... It's close to Mega (a relatively good Superstore if you want to do some shopping) and a very well equipped liquor store...Enjoy!!!
