My husband and I will be staying at the Riu at the end of February for a couple of nights before moving over to the Palace Vallarta.
I would like some feedback about the riu as we've never stayed there before. I'm a little nervous about the talk of mold because of all the reviews I've read.
Also can you walk from the Riu to the Palace?

We were there in the Fall. It's a very large resort, so lots of walking. The food is good, the beach is fine and the pool areas are good too. It is a very noisy resort during the night and early mornings. With all the tile floors the noise really carries so if you think that might be a problem, I'd bring ear plugs or request a room in the far wings.
And yes, you can walk to the Palace very easily.
Have fun!!
