Spring break question

We are traveling to PV area this week and looking for a nice luxury hotel (doesn't matter if it's all-inclusive) on the beach.... but with a couple of high school kids, need it to be where the beach action is during the day and pretty close at night. Four Seasons, St. Regis, & Punta Mita area seem too remote and quiet. Would like for them to be able to walk the beaches without barriers (like boulders separating private hotel beaches) Any suggestions for a happy medium for parents/teenagers? much appreciated!
I agree that Punta de Mita and the outlying areas will not give the teens the action they want. They will have the option of walking the beach in the Hotel zone area (no rock jettys, etc. between hotels). There is alot of beach action on the Southside but no big luxury resorts so they would have to spend the day at a beach club purchasing food and drink to be able to use their umbrellas, chairs (some have towel service).
The hotel zone is a 10 min ride away from the Malecon, which if you stay on it you can walk all the way over to the southside.
If you look at the link for lodging on this site you should be able to get an idea of what the resorts look like. Fiesta Americana is a nice property and they usually have beach vollyball going on the beach at several of the resorts in that area. Velas Vallarta is a great resort but the beach is rather small if they are looking for beach action. The Sheraton is nice but has a very rocky beach. The Westin in the Marina is nice but again any of the marina hotels have very small beaches but lovely pool areas.
If you have a particular place in mind just ask and I am sure someone will be able to help you.
