Desperately Seeking Javier
Post
by jem » Sat Apr 03, 2010 5:05 pm
I have been a guest at VDP several times, but been on a real PVR vacation since November of 2005. I will be back there May 15 - May 22, 2010. On previous trips, I had wonderful experiences with a waiter named Javier and wondered if anyone knew if he was still working there. He took very good care of me while out by the pool or beach every day. I even extended my stay last time several times to go to his personal residence for his birthday party. What a wonderful family and experience it was for me. Last I heard he was working room service on the night shift. I wish I had his last name, but for the life of me I can't remember it! If anyone has any information, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Ok, let's not be typing so fast we can't type names of places. I can't figure out what "VDP" is. If you are in a hurry, it is acceptable to type the entire name in the first part of your post followed by your abbreviations later. Chuck...

After reading a lot of the forums, if there was one person I knew would be able to assist (and interpret the abbreviations!!! Sheesh!) in finding Javier it would be you katnsocal!!! Thank you for your efforts.
I'll try and figure out a way to post a picture I have of Javier and I!
Thank you again for your efforts!

I wonder if charlieb could develop a glossary for PV ingenues so that VDP, PLA and PDS etc can be readily used by PV regulars?

If I knew what they were, I would. However, I don't use abbreviations much, except for widely acceped ones. My feeling is that people should take the time to type the word. After all, we are here on the board for fun, pleasure and entertainment, not setting speed records. This is not texting. If you are really in such a hurry you can't type: "Playa Los Arcos", then at least type the complete phrase in the first part of your post followed by "PLA". Just my thoughts. Chuck...

Yes but the IFC now starts their home tour there and everyone thinks it is at Andales (2 blocks north).
CyC=Cuates y Cuetes
Eldo=The El Dorado (by Boca Bento)
Coco=Coco's Kitchen on Pulpito or The Coco Tropical
Beach Club=always check. There are three that I know of. One is south of El Barracuda, another is south of Eldo, and a 3rd is at the very bottom end of Los Muertos (the newest one featured on the IFC home tour). There is also the etc Beach Club in Nuevo next to Kite.

Foodboy,
There is/was more than one waiter named Javiar working at the beach and pool area in the past 5 years. The jury is still out, LOL.

Foodboy,
One of them left and started his own restaurant. I am sure Jem will find out when she gets there. If it is not the right one she will have info on how to find the one now has his own restaurant.
