WE are thinking of booking the Vallarta Palace instead of Club Med in Cansun, where we have gone many timees. The boys have have loved the fact that there are so many staff members whose job is to get the boys involved in activiities from beach volleyball to water polo to the disco. The international make up of the staff at Club Med has always been fun and enliveing.
We are planning to book the Palace over the Christmas holidays, but are concerned it could be too passive.
Is the Palace comparable to a Club Med?
Does it have the energy level of a Club Med?
Is there a hangout for teens on property, where they can be out of eyesight of adults?[size=18][/size]

There is nothing like the Club Med - no other resorts compare. Your best bet might be the Melia, but if you expect the CM you'll be real disappointed. There are alot of reasons to come to PV - great food, great places to wander about, decent beaches, great atmosphere, but if you want an AI resort with loads of top quality activities and a big excellent activity staff, go to the Cancun or Ixtapa Club Meds. (And after that, maybe to the Iberostars in the Riviera Maya).
