Hotel Belmar or any other cheap hotel in old Vallarta

Any opinions? Having my third trip to PV in April. Want a cheap hotel close to the area of Cafe Tizoc, Roxy's, that area....

My daughter has been in Mexico since end of December. Gonna have a one week mother/daughter trip but don't want to pay a lot for a room. Just want it clean and with a safety deposit box either in the room or at the front desk. Don't care about a pool really as long as its not tooooo far to the beach...

posado de rogers on b. badillo is another option.--2 blocks from los muertos with a rooftop pool. don't stay in the courtyard ask for upper floor
