recommendations in town

Post by yumacpl » Tue May 29, 2012 12:28 am

we are thinking about coming down in the next few months, and it has been a long time since we was in PV
we are in our 60s, not looking for night life other than we like our Happy Hour
looking for a place to stay on the beach, pool, bar and maybe a restaurant, don't want an all inclusive
a room that would have a couch maybe a studio, small Ref, close to most every thing down town, no kids

thanks
ken/jane

you might like playa los arcos or one of the sister properties.

or think about renting a condo. plaza dorada, plaza mar, visto del sol.
all these properties are on the southside.

Look at the Hotel Tropicana. We love the location and some of the rooms have just been remodeled. There is a bar and daytime restaurant and they just completed a new pool in November 2012. Many great dinner restaurants within a few blocks walking. You can't go wrong ! When we book, we book with breakfast included. You can pick up a small cooler at OXXO and the bar will provide ice for you for beverages in your room.

Do not stay at Miramar or Grand Venetian

Post by cbard » Mon Jun 04, 2012 1:00 am

The Miramar is a beautiful resort, just out of --about 5 minutes, with the most beautiful mountain views in Vallarta. We purchased a residence club there and have recently been scammed out of over $87,650. they are professional crooks and appear to have a long history of this type of business behavior.

The Op said they wanted to be in town and didn't want an all inclusive; since dreams is south of town, requiring either a taxi or bus to get to town, and it is an AI it doesn't really meet their needs.

I don't think this Blair Harding guy (registered owner of the link) is interested in PV or knows anything about it... Just trying to spam to get someone to click his link.
