Saw Fandango on Thursday. First, do NOT buy your tickets on line. I heard they were even more than at the door. The tickets are $400p or VIP seating for $600p. VIP tickets get you three drinks (national only). The theater is great. There is an art gallery to view upstairs while you wait. The sound system is state of the art. A two piece band (one was a bongo) was outside the door playing contemporary songs. They were actually very good. The show. Well, the theater holds alot of people, but for this show there were barely 50 people for the 8:00 p.m. performance. So there was absolutely no need to buy a VIP ticket. You could sit anywhere. No set. Black curtains. Maybe to emphasize the costumes. Lots of colorful and playful costumes. Very folkloric. Reminded me of a large hotel Mexican Fiesta but with more dancers. Monsters in aisles, so kids should be prepared. One dance was with the Fandango costumes you see on all the posters, but the girl's head dress fell off before the dance was over. You can reserve your seat at the time you purchase your ticket; just tell the agent you want to chose your seat and they write it on your ticket. The Marriachi music was good. A little disappointing for this new venue.
