RIU JALISCO SHOPPING (NAMELY TIFFANY'S)

Post by artiejones » Mon Dec 16, 2002 5:27 am

"No slight against RIU JALISCO" We had a great two weeks.
However, one should be very careful when buying at Tiffany's or the ajoining ceramic shop.
My wife had two occassions to deal with the heavy set male with a mustache that seems to operate both stores.

The most interesting issue was a set of three candles that he offered her for $90.00 US.
(she laughed at him). A second time in the store, she over heard him offering the same candles to another couple for 450 pecos (about $45 US).

The wife told him off directly and also reported the incident to RIU managemet.

A similar incident occurred in the jewellery shop over a gemed 10K gecko charm that he tried to sell at $795 us. (a similar one purchased in Hawaii by her with emerald eyes cost $175 us....).

Please note that POCO LOCO in the same hotel is an okay establishment.

Be careful what you are wearing, what hardware you have on and get knowledge on what you are going to buy before dealing with this guy.

Believe me, I'm not saying he might be less than reputable, but if the shoes fit he could certainly wear them.
