I recently traveled to PV in August. I fell in love with it immediately. It was somewhat hot and humid but the ocean, pool, and cool drinks kept me cool. All or most of the people were very friendly and nice and I fell in love with the culture too! Yet, there were a few bad experiences. For one, don't eat at La Iguana fiesta, we all got sick! Next, the Blue Bay Getaway was very nice, yet the rooms were not what we expected, not American four-star standards, yet the staff very friendly and everything was very clean, no one got sick either. I would hope to go back some day. Visit the flea market for real deals and take the trip to Yelapa. Also, go up north for a change to Punta Mita, it's a bit of a change, yet very interesting and not very far. Also, if you book a tour with American Express, ask for Raul, he was the best and the best driver and guide.
