This is true, meaning Juarez and Tiajuana, and other boarder towns. Juarez has been one of the most violent cities in the world for many years, and T.J. has been known as thebooze and drug place for a long time as well. But MEXICO is safe it. If you go to Juarez or TJ and go to the wrong place it is the same as being in LA's Crips territory wearing the colors of the Bloods. Regardless that you didn't know better it is a death sentance! Enjoy traveling, Puerto Vallarta is still safe. Here the tourists don't even look when they cross the street (like it is a little town of 4,000 and not 375,000).
