What to do If you are ever forced by a thief or someone to take money out of an ATM machine? If you are ever forced by a thief or someone to take money out of an ATM machine, is it useful to enter your pin number reversed.

I smell trolls, LOL.

That was my thought exactly Chuck! Then if you read the response to the other ATM message supposedly there is a false rumor that if you enter your pin # backwards it automatically calls the police. I think it automatically says "Hey stupid you entered the wrong #".

It would be a great idea if that was the case, enter the number backwards and security is notified! Really could be a good thing.

That just wouldn't work in my case because my pin # is the same front first or back first. Cops would have been picking me up years ago.

I have no idea.... thought you changed the subject to elephants for a second... All I know is it is easy to remember.... and when it's time to change (for security reasons) the numbers, I always change the two end ones, and keep the two middle ones the same.

Aren't I the smartest Ukrainian Canuck you ever met?

Is that what is called an Oxymoron?

Kidding of course, as you know I too have my roots in the Ukraine.

I'm guessing they had all of us Ukes and Poles in mind when they restricted the PIN numbers to four digits in this part of the country. Mass chaos otherwise.

It's bad enough you have to remember your Anniversary and your wife's birthday. Lots easier if they were all the same.

My dad always said the reason he got married on New Year's was so he would never be in trouble for forgetting the date. :)

OMG: Brilliant on his part!

Your mom probably thought he was just thrifty, and this was an example of how he would behave the rest of his life.
