Miramar Scam

Post by BettyB » Fri Mar 04, 2011 1:34 am

Like others posting on this site, my husband and I have been duped and have lost several thousands of dollars. No luck with Luxury Vallarta Rentals and then contacted GM and they told us there was a new company, High End Rentals and we are experiencing the same problems with them. We are going to GM for a week April 2- 9 and plan on being very persistent in getting our money back. Any suggestions? Several posts have mentioned the Prefeco. What is this?

Prefeco is the agency that handles consumer complaints in PV, similar to our Better Business Bureau. It seems that most people that have been successful in getting their money back acted immediately via cancellation letters, complaints to their credit card companies, etc. Once you pass the timeframe that is stated on your contract to cancel, it is harder to get your money back.

There is alot of information on the other thread where peoples have explained their experiences and the steps they have taken. Read all the info and gleen what you can from those experiences and all the information people have passed on.

Good Luck!

The agency is called PROFECO. Here is a link to a translated page where you can lodge a complaint: http://translate.googleusercontent.com/ ... xTRf6xrr0A

Good luck!
