One night a year ago, February 2002, my husband and I ate at "La Misión" in Puerto Vallarta and when we were done we asked for our check.
When we got the check my husband and I decided to stay a little longer and have another drink which we ordered. About 15 minutes later el capitán told our waiter to
get rid of us. The restaurant was not full and we were not at all loud.
This is not very Mexican. I used to be a guide in Mexico and I taught in Mexico so I know that this is not typical of the Mexican culture.
My husband thinks it's because they made cinnamon coffee especially for me and I drank too much of it, or because I was talking too much to and having too much fun with the waiter and the bus boys.
But, on the plus side, I have to add that there ARE lots of neat restaurants in Vallarta and elsewhere throughout the country where we do get great meals and great service.
Needless to say, we haven't gone back to "La Misión."
Service NOT like Mexico
Incidents, either bad or that could be improved in the city.
