There are lots of us going down in Oct..BUT, the prices are ridiculous. Maybe its still a bit too early. The Buenaventura is quoting $140 AL that crazy.
Are the businesses doing well down there? Lots of tourists?

Sherry & Des
Sherry, we'll look forward to seeing you and Des again this year. It's so much fun to bring first timers. I hope I get to meet them.

Thanks Ellen! I'm not sure who is more excited - our friends or us!! We've rented a gorgeous condo on the beach - with a proper grill for outdoor cooking! We are already planning a dinner to include you and Dave and Joyce and Fred! Can't wait to hook up again in our favourite place!

Hope you are enjoying your summer! Take care - see you soon!

When are you planning to go and where will you stay and for how long ?.. :)

What helps you make your final decision on the place you choose to stay at...
Price?... location? amenities etc ?
My husband and I and another couple and their three children are going to PV in September to celebrate my husbands 45th birthday, the other guy's 40th birthday, and both couples anniversaries. We are staying at the Park Royal Los Tules.

Fred booked my flight a few days ago for PV. So I will be arriving on Jan. 6 and staying for a really nice stretch of time. He found a direct flight for a reasonable price and I told him to jump on it asap!!! Woohoooo

We know we're going... just don't know when, how long, whose paying, whose coming coming with us, and where we're staying.... right now all we know is why.

Our original plans were for driving down (first time to drive) the first week of November, fly home for 3 weeks for the holidays, then drive back to St. Louis mid Feb. Since both of our sons are married to girls from Europe, they have all decided they are going to Europe for the Holidays. Soooo......... no point in being home then. We decided to stay home for Thanksgiving and then drive to PV. So we will be there for the holidays which will be very strange, but oh so nice. Still driving back mid November.

So early December to mid February. This will be our first (of many, hopefully) long stretch in Vallarta. We can't wait.
