We finally watched this movie yesterday and thought it was excellent . The film is about the last days of Mayan society just before the Europeans arrive. Many scenes of blood and violence but it is truly a story of love and family . Well worth watching .

I agree that was an excellent movie.spoken in the native mayan language with english sub titles.historians say that is was an accurate depiction of the mayan practice of human sacrifice.I don't think I would like to have them for a neighbor.

I myself can't wait to see the pic. I really like all Mexicans but my favorites are the mayan. We now split our vacations between PV (summer) and the Riviera Maya (Winter). Their cuisine can't be beat either, very strange offerings on the menus in Playa del Carmen.
