Does anyone have Solar power in their Home. Can you get PhotoVolaics in PV. This is the Solar Power for creating electricity I believe. I would think, electricity being so expensive, this would be a great alternative source of power.

There is a conference on alernative energy in San Pancho (the town just north of sayulita) in a couple weeks. This would be a good place to get up to speed. Both solar and wind options will be discussed. The info from the flyer follows:

Also, there is a new solar power equipment store in bucerias. They sell solar panels there. If you know where Restaurant Famar's is, take that street a couple blocks inland. It is on the North side of the street.

ps. in my opinion, with the high costs of electricty here, solar is an excellent option as long as you do not require AC. AC requires a great deal of electricity when the compressors fire and that demands a really huge solar system that is not cost effective.
