You know, I can handle the cold as long as its sunny out. Except we have an older gentleman that lives across the street and he sits in his front window without a shirt (to get his vit. D I guess).

30 degrees today, summer is on its way back and soon we will be moaning about how its 50 degrees at lunchtime. Yes thats celsius. Maybe this summer will be the last one we spend in the middle east and move to PV for a change of pace :)

I just checked, and it is -25C, -38 with the wind chill. This is unseasonably cold, even for us. I checked and PV is 25C right now, so there is 50C difference. I can't wait to get there

I thought it was cold here but I guess you have us beat. Currently, it is about -2C without the windchill in Iowa and it is spitting snow/sleet. Sat. can't get here soon enough!!!

Snowmen

Post by helenf » Fri Apr 24, 2009 6:53 pm

I tell ya what Smitty - I've so had enough of this snow that if I were to build a snowman, he wouldn't be standing for long as I'd be taking out my "winter" frustrations on him. LOL  :D

It is snowing here again right now. Jeez Louise do I need a getaway from this weather. :D

Just to put it into perspective - all the snow was gone and it was plus 23 celcius the day before the snowfall this week.

Helen

P.S. - GO FLAMES GO!!!!! :D

We've had record breaking heat (high 90's F) the last few days. I love hot weather but I like to ease into it, not have it go from 50's and 60's to 97 over night. Any way, now it's back to the 60's.

I wish I could take a blow dryer to all the snow we still have up here! About a week ago spring looked promising but then we got more snow and now it's just plain cold - it's been around the minus 18 celsius mark for the past several nights and not breaking the zero mark during the day at all. This is when I really miss PV the most!!

it's only 6C here today - and cloudy and rainy! The only way I know that summer has arrived is from the mosquitos!!

Here at home it's 19° right now.... no mosquitoes or West Nile, but H1N1 is here... don't I ever feel lucky.

And we finally finished that bottle of tequila from last February. :(

Don't know if we are vaccinated or not, but I guess if you drink enough of it, you might stop caring for a little bit anyways....
