Alaska Air Low Rates?

Alaska has been publishing low rates from PDX (Portland, OR) to PVR for $129 one way (excluding taxes) in the local newspaper lately. The only drawback is that you have to fly to Seattle and change planes. There are other restictions as well so read the fine print.
I'm sure they are running similar ads in Seattle, SF and LA and other West Coast cities.

we called alaska right when the sale started. our dates worked for the deal, but there were no seats. not even close to the advertised price. the agent said they usually have 7 seats per plane available for the deal. this was 99 each way from sfo.
