help - need fingerprints for current employment - is there anywhere locally this can be done or do I have to go home?

I could send you a set from up here... or do they just have to be yours?

There must be a Private Detective agency down there who has a form to take them on, or download this one (it's the FBI one) and see what can be done. Make lots of copies... If you've never been in a position to see this done, have your friends practice on you on blank paper for a couple of hundred times... make sure you roll each finger onto the paper.

You don't say where you're from, but if from Canada, you have to contact the holders of the yellow strip directly and they will mail you one.
