Welcome Francis, what have you checked out so far? Are you asking for suggestions or just saying that you are finally going to take a vacation and thinking of PV as an option?

PV is on the top of my list, I am intrigued by the culture, food and beaches, but looking for other suggestions too. Really just info-gathering to see if what I think I know about Mexico is realistic or not. Thanks

I was in Bucerias over Christmas, Old Vallarta last two weeks in February and going back April 13th for one more week....Lets just say I LOVE PV and you cannot beat the food or the people. The beach is fun and always interesting. Sure....its not white sandy beaches but you can't beat the atmosphere!

My trip to puertovallarta was a good experience,had been to the following places.
El Nogalito Waterfall Hike,
Whales and Dolphins in the Wild
Las Marietas
PV is an old city with alot of history and beauty and was a city long before tourism.
