This is why I have never elected to do this. Waverunner, dunebuggy, zipline, yes, but not this........espcially anywhere in Mexico.

Actually...

Actually the news is from Florida, not Mexico :-)

Though, considering the obesity issues the US has, it may be a good idea to stay on the ground in your big fat trucks. ;-)

Greetings

Did it once, was a lot of fun. Needed some liquid encouragement before I did it. Now I remember why.

Since my accident, I will not take the chance of trying/riding any of these things:
Bicycle, motorcycle, scooter, unicycle (yes I actually had and rode one. We used to play basket ball on them in high school!), skateboard, pogo stick, horseback riding..
I’ll still get on a Jet ski when I go to Mexico to “feed my need for speed”

Risks and proportions

Post by webmaster » Mon Sep 10, 2012 8:05 am

Yep, it's all a matter of proportions and probabilities. I've parasailed once, was fun and nice to see things from above. I bungee jumped once in Vallarta, was terrifying and will not do THAT again, though I must admit the Jump the Pacific spot was ideal. BTW, anyone know what happened to the bungee in Vallarta, it looked quite closed in May, looked like it'd been closed for at least 4 months.

Actually sad...

Post by webmaster » Wed Sep 26, 2012 12:58 pm

Actually, it's sad that the bungee is out of business. It was another good attraction in town. After seeing the awful and scary options around Mexico, one where they drop toward the concrete ground, another over a dolphin pool (poor dolphins) and so on, the jump into the Pacific was a worthwhile and beautiful option.

Still scary though...

I just rememberd this. There was a roller coaster at the Six Flags amusment park here called the Mine Train" back in the mid 1970's. Park management updated it a few years later to one of those early "stand up" roller coasters. There was a accident on it that shut it down shortly there after, where this enormous woman got on it, and was not properly secured, and when the first hard corner came around~WHAM! The cops thought her husband pushed her at first, untill it was ruled a accident. The park rejected this motto shortly thereafter" The coaster ride is never over untill the fat lady flings" :D
