El Birdo's 2013 frachise edition is only ** 1** and .5 games up on ATL for home field advantage win away from clinching the NLCD!!!! Hat's off to all the rookies this season, aka "Baby Birds", that has propped this club to the smokin' hottest in MLB currently! Matt "Big City" Adams, 17th HR last night mostly off the bench, batting .439 in his last 50 at bats with 8 taters subbing for swet swinging Allen Craig. Edward Mujica retires 26 batters before Kozma can't field a slow hopper, the kid is like only 21, great pressure cooker for him down the stretch run, even though he didn't get it~ DAMN DAMN DAMN DAMN DAMN!! Ole' Abner knew when he invented the game the "toughest out is the last" !! Trent Rosenthal, "The Razor"~ Mr Slam The Door, A Closer Is Born. All of this with Motte, Carp, Craig all on the DL, the first two toast for the season. Lord have mercy if we were at fill tilt. This town is reving up for The Hunt For Red October, and is such a wonderful atmosphere every time they go to the post season, World Series tickets will be at a PREMIUM if they get there! It's kinda hard to describe unless you have lived here.
Here is a gem from last night. Apparently that pitcher had hit Gomez several times in past seasons, intentionally, before Gomez found Cheif KncokAhoma at Turner Field last night, Gomez was a Asshat for standing staring at it, then jawing rounding the bases. No wonder that catcher was so pissed off, total show of NO class by Gomez. Talk about having a big target on his back now.........
