Maybe silly question but....
How do you become a "Premium Member" on the Puerto Vallarta Bulletin Board ?
Are there any added benefits to that status?

It kicks in after 100 posts. The "status" is the benefit

When you become a Premium member, you will be considered knowledgable or just a know it all.

Thats the beauty of this board the more you read the more you learn about our favorite place. I guess the true benefit of premium status is that we spend more time reading, reflecting and learning about PV than most.

There should be another level for "know-it-alls" that are unbiased. Seems when asked about a hotel, for instance, the people who stayed there - and only there - will rave, when in reality the flaws are never mentioned. But that's normal I guess. Our family has moved around from hotels to villas to AIs, over many years (by choice to try different areas and accommodations) and we chuckle when some posts rave about a property when the one next door is far superior at a similar rates. That said, some properties can change drastically within weeks when new management moves in or they shift to TS, etc.El Cuchillo (Apr 02, 2004 06:47 a.m.):

Whitey, you are right. However, they may have found a place that suits them and is all they want it to be. I do also agree that there is change and in truth can not be perfect every time. There is certainly no crime in pointing out a fault or problem, as long as one does not carry to extremes. I sometimes get the feeling that those that rave on and on about any particular place, have little else in their lives to talk about. I enjoy and am appreciative of all the new information I get here. Even with having gone to PV every year for the last 20, I can and do learn something new almost daily.

I really don't have a life other than work, visiting this BB and going to PV 2-3 x year.

I'll take you up on that. This happens to be one of those days where I will spend all day on this BB 'cause I am substituting for a HS metals class and we have nada to do.
