Just a warning for those bringing Digital Cameras, Lap Tops, CD players etc. The airports new "E-Ray" is zapping photo & laser circuit boards big time. Many are losing electronic gear that is checked in baggage. Sorry the airlines won't cover it either. Your best bet....hand carry it through inspection. Before anyone says they got through just fine, consider yourself lucky. My stuff got zapped. There is more information about it online for those who want to research it. E-Ray kills antrhrax but also nice cameras. You have been warned!

More good news....and while we are on the subject you might want to avoid those magnetic metal detector-wands getting near your gear. They tend to wreak havok on memory cards and hard disk. If the Security Guard gives you a hassle be ready to open the item completely for visual inspection and don't believe any crap they give you about "it won't hurt it!"
