Anyone out there from NY??

Post by Youarethere » Thu May 11, 2006 2:20 pm

:( Oh my God the weather out there is the worst, why do I have to work in such a dismal place, living in NJ ain't that much better. I had to be nuts not moving to PV when I had the chance. Reading the posts on here make me so depressed knowing that all my old amigo's I left behind are enjoying getting smiles out of all of us that just vacation there. That's it, I've had it, I'm looking into getting back down there ASAP.

[cold] Feels like we going right back into winter, what's up with that.
It looks like it's cloudy in paradise today or is the webcam just dirty

No! That's Tony Soprano, and I do look quite a bit like him. My daughter (15) had never seen the Sopranos and when she saw Tony, she said I DID look like him. The kids at the high school I sub for call me the "Godfather" and think I'm in the mafia, by the way I dress and wear my hair.

Little Italy and Cannoli... The one and only place that comes to mind is Cafe Ferrara on Grand Street. In the day, that was after going to Vincent's on Mulberry Street for Calamari, Scungilli or Scampi for lunch. What a history that area has.

We always took the train down from Beacon with our friends to Grand Central, get out on the 42nd street side and walked up to 9th Avenue to cousin Barry's grocery store, Victoria's right next to Victoria's Resturant, then over a few more blocks down to Carmine's for ziti, and a little mafioso time... then take in a show there... our friends had lots of connections for tickets to Les Mes, Cats, Phantom etc... it was fantastic times....

ROAD TRIP....  8)

Next Thursday got Diamond Suite seats at shea for the Met vs. Philly game. I'm a Yankee fan so I guess I cheer for the philly's. Tickets were compliements of a vendor of mine, might as well go. Why can't people just give me tickets for PV.

I am yankee's fan as well. Love it when you get to see the stadium just before you go into the tunnel coming down on the train....
