It's done

Post by travelbug_jp » Mon May 29, 2006 11:13 pm

Well, it done, over, finished, el fin, terminar etc etc.
She's married and on her way to Hawaii and may I say I'm glad its done, its a lot of work organizing all that stuff ... especially when the bride and groom are both procrastinators :( The day started off with thunder showers and very ominous looking skies but around lunch things brightened up and the pre wedding photos should be good because it was still overcast and the lighting was perfect ... so said the photographer. The rest of the day was just as lovely, the church was full of family and friends and so was the reception hall. The food was great, the booze was free (we don't do cash bars) and my daughter was radiant, beautiful and extremely happy. On the down side, her Dad and I are broke, but the 2007 invasion is still in the plans, even if we have to charge the darn thing!! I'll let you all know when to run for cover when the pictures are ready to share.

Congrats! It's a wonderful day, but I know the feeling of being glad it's over - we went thru it when our son got married last year! And the rain is supposed to be good - they'll never want for money, or something like that (maybe they can send you to PV every year!!).

Thanks everyone, it was a lot of work but it was worth it, I was dolled up to the nines and Freddy looked pretty darn dapper in his tux too  I didn't know that rain before the wedding is a sign of good luck, I will tell them that when they get home. The 07 invasion saving began as soon as the 06 trip was over!!! and we are well on our way.

If they will never want for money they better share with the folks! And I like that idea about sending us to PV every year, I'll have to mention that as well.

WinnipegGal1 is right Joyce!! Being a grandmother is awesome fun!! Never having had any children of my own I never thought the day would happen for me. So I was quite excited when Des's son came to us and told us we were going to be grandparents!! I love the "spoil them rotten and then hand them back to their parents" part!!! But - seriously - it is truly a great time!!
