We are staying at the Marriott and would like to keep a few bottles in the room. Where can we purchase wine and liquor?

Grocery stores and even small markets sell booze and wine, here's a link to a map where some of the major stores are located.

If you're looking for whiskey you'll have to go to a liquor store.

The smaller mom and pop stores, and the 7-11 type stores, carry beer and a limited selection of wine. Some have liquor.

I found Bourbon and scotch at the grocery store (Gigante, when it was Gigante), but no Canadian blend whiskey. Believe me, I looked real hard.

went to sams club for liquor and was happy with prices.
later in week went to commercial mexicana for a few groceries;
found liquor prices very similar.

We have found the prices to be the best for hard liquor (at least what we purchase to bring back) at Super La Playa.
