thanks for the list

maybe you might want to contact the owner of the page and inform them of all of the places that have been closed
or at least update it once in a while

Trying to keep restaurant lists up-to-date in PV is a full time job in itself. :D

Haven't been to Vallarta in over a year- going in 55 days--which ones on the list are closed?

The list is over 362 restaurants, sure some have since closed but I bet that the majority are still open. I suggest that if one looks interesting that when you are in PV use the phone number listed to confirm if it is still in business.

Last year a young man we hired as a driver told us that a bar/restaurants in Vallarta opens and another one closes almost every day of the year.

Not sure if that is true...but there seem to always be a lot of turnover from year to year.

sorry to say

but the virtual vallarta list
is a solicited list from advertisers

the best of category is simply el torro poo poo

lets be honest
when you cant win for quality or service
they make up a category for you!!!!

With the exception of a couple I would never step foot in again I think the majority of the those on the best of list are worthy of the honor. There are a couple of my very favorites missing but I guess every restaurant can't be considered the best of by everyone in PV.

Restaurant Guide

Post by garyrbeck » Wed Dec 16, 2009 9:52 pm

Keeping up with the closures and changes in hours/closed days is a lot of work. I speak from experience as I have owned and edited my Beck's Best for over 5 years, with freebies before that. But it can be done with a lot of walking and phone calls. The first list appeared to have been ignored for some time. Makes me shudder. If I see Bianca listed once more I will scream. Gone for years! TeatroLimon states well and sure cooks terrifically at his famous spot. But let me tell you, in the last 7 weeks we have come across a good bunch of new spots many of which provided very fine meals at fair prices. Basilio Badillo alone is bouncing with new operations. Take a walk from Jacarandas to Olas Altas and you will see. Oh, and check out the cool white light bear on Olas Altas for the Holidays. So cool! 8)

Oh, Venerable PV Semi-God~

I gush with embarrassment! I also am unsure who you are. I apologize. I am muling down 15 more new copies and they will be in the 3 outlets within 1/25, I hope! Otherwise it is online.
Yes, and you discovered my new front cover. Steven Lord [Colores graphics] designed it and gave me a logo. I love the mixture of the photos, supplied by me except for the wide bay shot.
