Drinks on the beach
Post
by Jonah151 » Sat Jul 31, 2010 1:30 am
My wife and I are visiting PV in a couple of weeks. This will be our first visit. Since we're on a budget we were wondering about drinks on the beach. What prices should we expect to pay for a beer or margarita? Are there plenty of choices along the beaches? Also, is it acceptable to pack our own cooler full of cerveza for the beach?
Thanks for any information you can provide.

Where are you staying. Coolers are fine on the beaches. Availability of beach bars/restaurants depends on what part of town you are staying in. In the hotel zone most of the resorts are guests only but in the Los Muertos area (southside) there are quite a few beach bars. Knowing where you are staying will help you get a clearer answer.

We'll be staying at the Mayan Palace near the marina.

I think you will be stuck with your resort for drinks on the beach. There are places in the Marina that have happy hour but they don't have beach restaurants in the marina other than the resort's own venues.

Walk to the marina and buy some drinks and take them back.. There is also a store down the street as well. Then go through your hotel right down to the beach and drink them there.

if you venture to old town (los muertos beach) many of the beach restaurants have 2x1 happy hour, also andales has 2x1 in the afternoons.
