Buses

We are a retired couple on an econo trip and want to sightsee using the city buses. If we ride a blue and white bus out to the Marina can we stay on the "loop" and ride back to Centro?

We have an older map which shows a bus stop at Lazaro Cardenas Park--can we board it and ride all the way to the Marina? Thanks to you "locals" and any advice on riding the buses around.

Yes you can still catch the bus at the park. I don't know how long it has been since you have been in PV but the park is not the same anymore (there is a parking structure underneath it and it is all concrete). The buses still stop the same location which would be across the street from the East side of the park. There was still alot of construction going on right there in Nov but they stop right as they come around the corner. Just look for one that says Marina or just ask the driver. After dark it is hard to read the signs as they come around the corner and if it looks like no one wants that bus they keep going, so look like you want it if you can't read it as ask the driver when he stops.

The loop ends at the park when you go south but I have never tried taking it out to the Marina and back to El Centro without getting off somewhere along that route.
