El Andariego

We spent a mid-October week at Premiere Hotel & Spa (next to Buenaventura). Early on, we stumbled into El Andariego, a restaurant across the street from the hotel. Never have I had such gracious hospitality and great food in the same place. In our short time in PV, we ate there five times (breakfast for 42 pesos, lunch, and dinner). Each time, we were greeted as friends and immediately received a molcajete of ceviche and chips. Throughout the meals (except breakfast), we were given several shots of "Mexican water" (tequila). Never did these "extras" appear on our bill. In short, I want to sing the praises of this restaurant. And you've got to try the shrimp Mazatlan enchiladas. Tell them the folks from Seattle sent you.
