Mexican Beer In Canada

Post by smitty » Fri Dec 16, 2005 1:24 am

I just saw a neat gift pack at our Ontario Liquor store . Six Coronitas (mini Coronas ) in a bucket for $14.95 Cdn . The bucket is decorated in a beach theme . Coiny I guess but would make a nice Christmas gift - for the beer drinker in the family. Image

but then again, i do enjoy my Appleton Estates V/X Jamaican Rum too.. boy that is good with a coka dieta... kick back and suck down a few of these... excellante... and if you are looking for something to warm you up during these cold winter nights, grab some egg nog, warm it up in the mirco wave, put a shot or two of this rum in it... it is great to say the least... and if you are having trouble sleeping... the zzzzzzzzz's roll right out...

Just last night I spent an enjoyable 1.5 hours at our local mex resturant, with my nephew and his wife. I had 4 Pacificos, actually was rubbing it in that we were leaving for Tulum on Monday. He an his wife have come with us to the GCP in PV twice and just loved the place.

I drink Corona all year because the lime in the beer smell makes me think I'm in Mexico at the beach.

Bier!

Post by beach_bum13 » Wed Jan 11, 2006 3:27 am

I don't drink much beer in PV...usually margaritas and pina coladas...and now that I have been to Oktoberfest I prefer my beer room temperature sooo beer in Mexico is a bad choice for me. The only beer I would vote against on that list though would be SOL. I drank that my first trip to Mexico and it tasted great or did it? I can't remember ha ha ha....but it hurt the next day!

I wonder if the reason more people are not voting is because they just drink whatever is included in the AI at their hotel? Personally, I prefer Pacifico best, but I have only tried it and Sol & Carona so far. I will be going back to Mexico in just 20 days (this will only be my 2nd time in Mexico) so I am going to make it my mission to try every beer on the list! I am there for 14 days this time so I should not have a problem at all!

BTW - I just love this forum, I've learned so much and will be sure to write my trip report when I get back.

Stumped

Post by smitty » Sun Jan 29, 2006 9:00 pm

Not a blonde or a youngster - google isn't helping either . :?: I don't get the reference either. We have a mystery . :)

Lolli this one will be more obvious . Might be just what you need to taste test all those Mexican beers. :) A way to travel in style between bars . Not advocating drinking and driving - just posting a fun link.

I believe that it is a reference to "School House Rock" which was on ABC T.V. here in the States back in the 70's. Catchy tunes to grammer and math problems.

BINGO!!! (oops Bingo is a different song).lol

Way to go Lolli!
I am quite impressed that you even found the words.

OK I was a kid in the 70's and I watched all those Schoolhouse Rock shows.

My daughter whom graduated in 2001 from my same high school was a thespian and she was in the play that they had at school which was called "Schoolhouse Rock" and they played (and sang) all the songs.

One of my favorites (other than Lolly) was "I'm just a Bill" (sitting here on capital hill).

OK enuf already. Good job Lolli.

Adios,
T.

Corona drinkers are succumbing to marketing and availability. Try Pacifico or XX and you'll never go back.

As with other things, the most popular is not always the best. Like Jose Cuervo Gold, which just ain't the real thing. And there are so many other, better, tequilas available.

cervesa con ascetunas por favor?

as long as it is nice and cold, and wets my whistle i am happy with just about anything and everything. I like a lot of dark beers, Amber Bock, Killians Red, Guinnes Stout, etc... so i like the mexican darks and ambers they have.

or my standard stand by is a cold beer with olives....
