Grocery store near airport

Post by kptgreg » Tue Jan 08, 2008 8:28 pm

We are renting a car from Dollar Rental Car and then heading up to Sayulita. We figured we would stop at a grocery store, is there a good one on the way from the airport to Sayulita????

You're in luck. Mega just opened up a new store in Nuevo. Sorry can't tell you exactly where it is.

grocery store near airport

Post by kagnew64 » Tue Jan 08, 2008 11:59 pm

Just outside the airport on the highway to town is a good grocery store
It is located in the middle of the Marina Plaza shopping center. Also
in the shopping center is McDonalds, Subway, ATM's, etc
Have a great trip

do you know the name of the highway or what exit?

Is the plaza very easy to see?

Yes just head south of the airport and look for the orange pelican on the Commercial Mexicana store on the right side before you get to the Marina turnoff. No more than 2 minutes once you are out of the airport.

follow kcowan's advice and directions.
i don't think it's barely 1/2 mile departing airport to south.
again, commercial mexicana on the right side at first stoplights.
they have every food product you mite want + booze/beer/ice
mall also has money exchange and pharmacia.
we've shopped there the last 2 years. it's very convenient.
(also - there's a rotisary chicken place - wonderful food)
have a fantastic trip.

Marina Plaza

Post by kagnew64 » Thu Jan 10, 2008 7:59 pm

Every year the wife and I walk from Club Regina to the Plaza to shop.
I use Scotia Bank for my money exchange as they seem to have the
best rates in the marina area. Commercial Mexicanna has good
produce, a great bakery (luv those little butter cookies), and all over
good pricing.
I was always leery of the rotisserie chix vender. This trip I am
definitely trying it.
