boogie boards

Every time we've visited we have brought our boogie boards with us.

Now, the new MEGA in Bucerias has the good, long lasting boogie boards (at least for the time being) although with a cost of around $45 US. Wal-Mart had previously carried the cheap foam boards. I don't know if they still have only the foam type or have switched to the long lasting type.

With airlines adding more restrictions for baggage, it might be an option for some to buy boogie boards at MEGA rather than bringing them along.

We were lucky this last time, US Airlines did not charge us the $100 extra fee (each way) for the 12 pound box with three boogie boards in it even though it surpassed the maximum inch requirement.

We had looked into having our boards delivered by UPS to the vacation rental but found out that because they were made in China, there would be a 500% surcharge (duty related)!

I noticed a few people at the hotel that bought theres in PV and then sold them to other people before they left so they didn't have to carry them on the plane home.
